- This bird is 26 cm long. 
- This bird is very common in India and Sri Lanka. You can see this kind of birds in forests and home gardens. 
- It makes nests in tree holes. 
- It lays 2-4 eggs. 
- It is a plump bird with a short neck, a large head and a short tail. 
- There are many kinds of birds like crimson fronted Barbet, coppersmith Barbet, and the Sri Lanka yellow fronted Barbet.
